Bia Zaneratto has been in the national spotlight of a soccer-crazed nation since she was 14 years old. She’s responded to the hype, and then some. 38 international goals and eight league championships later, Bia is ready to take over the NWSL. She scores goals everywhere she goes, which includes an already impressive tally through her first season with the Kansas City Current. Bia leads the Current attack and dominates opposing defenses with her lethal finishing, strength and playmaking. Good luck keeping her off the scoresheet — you’re going to need it.

The Kansas City Current’s Prince is already international soccer royalty. Nichelle Prince has scored a World Cup goal, owns nearly 100 appearances for Canada and, most importantly, won Olympic Gold in 2021. When she’s not on national team duty, you can most likely find Prince slicing up opposing wingbacks on the pitch and firing balls into the back of the net. With Prince on the pitch, opposing defenses are in for a long 90 minutes.

Blink and you’ll miss her. If you haven’t heard of Temwa Chawinga by now, it just might be too late. The forward has not only captivated Kansas City but is taking the NWSL by storm in her debut season with the Kansas City Current. A perfect blend of precision, power and speed, Chawinga strikes fear into opposing back lines and is ruthless in front of goal. After all, she ended the 2023 calendar year with the most goals of any soccer player in the world. When you see Chawinga on the run at CPKC Stadium, make sure to get up out of your seat. Something special is about to happen.

Cooper was drafted by Kansas City as the 2nd overall pick in the 2023 NWSL Draft and has quickly become a crucial attacking threat for the squad. The former Duke Blue Devil holds the record for the fastest goal in NWSL history, scoring only 22 seconds into Kansas City’s 2023 match against the Washington Spirit.

Hamilton joined the Current in 2021 and scored the winning goal against Racing Louisville FC during her 100th NWSL appearance. She set the club record for most goals across all competitions with 13 (5 Challenge Cup, 7 regular seasons, 1 playoff). She is also tied for second all-time hat tricks across NWSL competitions, and her five NWSL Championship appearances are the most all-time.

The Saint Louis native signed with the Current ahead of the 2024 season and became the fourth-youngest player ever signed to play in the NWSL at 15 years, 338 days. On March 16th, she became the youngest goal scorer in NWSL history with her game-winning goal in the Current’s season opener at CPKC Stadium. Pfeiffer has spent time with the U.S. National Team at the U-15, U-16, and U-17 levels.

The beautiful, artistic flair Debinha plays with has led to her a lengthy international career representing her native Brazil as well as plenty of accolades at the club level. Debinha is a two-time NWSL Champion and a three-time NWSL Shield winner. Now in her second season with the Kansas City Current, Debinha is the key to one of the most dominant attacks in the league. Her unique creativity and special offensive talent are a handful for defenses. Debinha is nearly impossible to contain. You can only hope to slow her down.

Desiree Scott is a destroyer, both figuratively and literally. She’s also a Canadian soccer legend, an Olympic Gold Medalist and a founding member of the Kansas City Current. Nicknamed “The Destroyer,” Scott is a dominant midfield presence that makes her living stifling opponents and sniffing out dangerous scoring chances. Good luck trying to score with Scott on the field. She lives to destroy everything in her path.

Celly Queen. Franchise Icon. Midfield Maestro. Lo’eau LaBonta is an NWSL veteran, but she’s ascended to stardom in Kansas City. A founding member of the Kansas City Current, LaBonta has the most goals in club history and is a legendary figure of the Kansas City soccer community. LaBonta does much more than simply bossing the midfield on a match-by-match basis. She’s the Current’s captain, the squad’s heart and soul, and can produce otherworldly strikes from long range. And when LaBonta finds the back of the net, stay tuned for a viral goal celebration. It’s her thing.

The 18-year-old rookie led the league in tackles won (30) just two months into her NWSL career. Hutton made her international debut with the U-17 USWNT in the 2022 Concacaf Championship, scoring six goals in the tournament. She was named captain of the USWNT U-19 team that took home a Bronze medal at the 2023 PanAm Games and was named to her second U-20 national team roster in preparation for the upcoming U-20 FIFA World Cup.

DiBernardo, an NWSL veteran, joined Kansas City as a free agent in 2023 from the Chicago Red Stars. DiBernardo played eight seasons in Chicago, earning multiple club records for Minutes Played (12,465), Games Played (155), and Assists (22) as of 2023. The midfielder currently ranks second all-time in assists and corner kicks in the NWSL. DiBernardo made history as the first-ever goal-scorer at CPKC Stadium on March 16, 2024.

Feist was the 17th overall pick in the 2019 NWSL College Draft and appeared in all 78 games of her collegiate career at Wake Forest University, scoring 22 goals. The former Washington Spirit player joined Kansas City in the offseason as a free agent signing and scored her first goal with the Current in a 5-2 win at home against Bay FC on April 20th.
